About Reds Ranch

Reds Ranch is a luxurious 10 bedroom retreat set on 125 acres of wooded meadowland with an intimate view of the Ruby Mountains. Patterned after the great hunting lodges of the northern Rockies each bedroom or suite is tastefully furnished, with private bathroom facilities. The main lodge features a stone fireplace, great room, billiards room, and library stocked with classics from all genres.

Guests are invited to make themselves at home and enjoy in-room massages, gourmet meals and a relaxing atmosphere to swill and chill evenings away. All of our guest meals are prepared in the ranch kitchen and served in a common dining area.

Because of the varied arrival times of our guests, dinner is not provided on your arrival night. Lamoille's favorite restaurant among our longtime skiers, the Pine Lodge, is within a mile of Reds Ranch. You may also choose to visit one of the popular Basque restaurants in downtown Elko. The Red Lion Inn and Casino, the Commercial Hotel and Casino also offer dining and evening entertainment. There are many other fine restaurants in Elko.

Breakfast is served every morning at Reds Ranch, featuring an extensive and healthy buffet of fresh baked breads, muffins, rolls, fruits, cereals, and some specialty breakfast items, along with fresh brewed coffee and a selection of juices. Delicious lunches are prepared and carried to the mountains via helicopter for a welcome midday break! Hors d'oeuvres and dinner are served on the second and third evenings of your stay.

Why Ruby Mountain: It's such a warm, comfortable, intimate relationship that we create with all of our guests- new or old. The entire crew does, and that keeps all of us coming back. We're all incredibly motivated to provide an outstanding service that everyone is into. And mostly, the people here smile a lot, and we're really into that.
Off-Season: Gardening, traveling, biking, hiking, and enjoying downtime together and with our son Michael. I run a few select catering gigs in the off season to keep my chops up, and we're always looking at new ways to build and improve Ruby the following year.
